• Non-invasive examination like Raking Light, Transmitting Light, Reflectance Transformation Imaging, Ultraviolet Radiation, or Infrared Radiation

These examinations highlight the traces of previous conservation, the nature of pigments, underdrawing, over-painting, and other details, which contributes to outlining a fingerprint for the artefact. Condition assessment not only applies to objects in need of curatorial conservation but a structurally sound object can also be examined using these techniques.

• Surface cleaning, rediscovering discoloured surfaces, stabilization the condition of the object, reassembling damaged objects, application of protective coating

The entire process is documented along with photographs and attached to the final condition report to be handed over to you. The report is inclusive of suggestions for framing, display, and storage. We provide a proposal based on condition assessment reports, adhering to the code of ethics.
